Because of the rapidly rising number of covid cases in our area we are going to take the proactive step of moving to our hybrid instruction model beginning November 30th.
Our model keeps all grade school students in class full time, face to face, but reduces the time out of the classroom, and limits the number of people that move from room to room. Students in grades 7-12 will attend in person every other day and will participate remotely on the days they are not in class. We decided to plan for the high school to stay in hybrid for two weeks so that parents can plan, rather than going a week and then possibly extending with little notice. The grade school will use the plan for a week then evaluate the situation before deciding on the second week. Student attendance is not affected so it will not be a problem for parents to adjust from week to week at SGS.
Our hope is that the numbers will stabilize and we will be able to return to full face to face instruction December 14th.
