SJSHS FBLA students work with SGS students on how to appropriately use email.

On Wednesday, November 6th, FBLA students - Lydia Webb, Katie Inwood, Jace Darnauer, Porter Anderson, and Wyatt Newberry - from the Sterling High School visited Sterling Grade School to teach sixth graders about proper email etiquette through their program, Teens Teach Tech. The initiative aimed to prepare younger students for a world where digital communication is crucial. The FBLA members led interactive sessions, demonstrating the importance of writing clear subject lines, some differences of reply/reply all, marking as spam, and interacting professionally. The sixth graders were able to experience some of these techniques on their own Chromebooks and interact with their email account. This collaboration not only enhanced the younger students' digital skills but also provided the FBLA members with valuable teaching and leadership experience.
