The 2020 Sterling Invitational Tournament starts next week. This year's boys' and girls' tournaments will feature teams from Kingman, Smoky Valley, Lyons, Scotty City, Hutchinson Trinity-Catholic, Hugoton, and SE of Saline, along with the SHS Black Bears.
The Lady Bears are looking to get back on track in the tournament. They are the #8 seed and will face Southeast of Saline on Tuesday, January 21st, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ora Shields Activity Center. If they win, they will play Kingman or Lyons in OSAC on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. A loss will have the girls playing on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
The Black Bears are off to a solid start this season. They are the #2 seed in the Sterling Invitational. The boys will open up against former CKL rival Smoky Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21st, in the Gleason Center on the campus of Sterling College. If they win, the Black Bears will play on Thursday at 6 p.m. against the winner of Tuesday's game between Lyons and Kingman. The semi-final match-up will be at Sterling College, with a scheduled tip at 6 p.m. If the boys were to lose, they would play on Thursday at 4:30 pm.
Admission for the Sterling Invitational is $7 for adults and $5 for students. The games will be streamed by 3BN and available on the Sterling Invitational Tournament website. For those interested in viewing each bracket, click on the links below.
